About Dr. Lisa Rusczyk
Dr. Lisa Rusczyk is the creator of Greater Than a Tourist and founder of CZYK Publishing.
The idea for Greater Than a Tourist grew from Lisa’s own travel experiences and her interest in what local people could teach travelers about the places they call home.
While traveling in Malta, Lisa met an older local man who wanted to share advice about the island based on his many years living there. The experience helped reinforce an idea that later became central to Greater Than a Tourist: local people often have valuable knowledge travelers would love to hear, but travelers do not always know how to find those voices.
Greater Than a Tourist was created to help make that connection. Through CZYK Publishing, Lisa works with writers, editors, narrators, and other contributors to turn local knowledge into practical travel resources.
