Travel Like a Local: Discovering the Real West Virginia

West Virginia is a state rich in history, nature, and culture. Appalachia, West Virginia in particular, constantly fights against negative stereotypes. This is why I wrote Travel Lika a Local, West Virginia. I wanted to help eradicate the negative perceptions associated with West Virginia and the Appalachian region. My book digs into the valuable past of West Virginia. Old coal mining towns, civil war sites, and life-long family feuds are explored in my book. The delicious Appalachian cuisine and varied art culture of the state are highlighted in my book as well. My book, Travel Like a Local, West Virginia, is an extended love letter to my native state, the place I will always call home.
